I see you, I hear you, I feel you
Identity · Narrative · Communication
Astrid Mora is a Belgian artist and the founder of Studio Astrid Mora, an identity and communication practice.
With a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, a background in photography and an active ceramic practice, she brings a spatial, visual and material perspective to her work. This perspective is further informed by her ongoing academic studies in Communication Studies, with a focus on Journalism and Media.
At the heart of her approach is the belief that identity is not something to be invented or applied from the outside. It is already present—in the story, beliefs, contradictions, choices and working methods that shape a practice.
Astrid’s role is to reveal that identity, give it language and translate it into a recognisable presence. Through close observation and considered conversation, she brings together what may already be felt intuitively but has not yet been articulated as a coherent whole.
Through Studio Astrid Mora, she works with architects, makers and design-led practices on Identity & Communication Codices, narratives, websites, editorial publications and ongoing communication direction.
Strategy and expression are not treated as separate disciplines. Words, images, structure and atmosphere are considered together, allowing every point of contact to grow from the same foundation.
Alongside her communication practice, Astrid continues to develop sculptural ceramic work under her own name.
“My work begins by seeing what is already there, and giving it a form through which others can recognise it.”
